Embark on the beautiful Hazard Peak Trail in the Montana De Oro State Park. Rated as Moderate, a 6 mile loop, or 3 miles each way, with an elevation gain of 1,811.  On the hike you’ll see plenty of flowers, wildlife, and the Pacific!

Do bring a bottle of water and be on the lookout for rattlesnakes in the summer months. Dogs are not allowed, on- or off-leash, on the trails in Montana De Oro State Park.

1. William Randolph Hearst Memorial State Beach

Roughly 45 minutes north up the iconic highway 1 from San Luis Obispo. Your trip hugs the breath-taking pacific coast landscape. This beach boasts its own pier with emerald waters. Located just 3 miles south of Pismo Beach, this theater has been a local favorite since 1975! This is no ordinary local theater. 4. Bob Jones Trail
