2. Family Farm Experiences ~

SLO Creek Family Farms is a 44 acre organic farm that offers u-pick apples, flowers, veggies, and herbs and is open September through November. What tastes more like fall than a piping hot apple pie fresh from the oven! They've also created a hard cider, which you can taste or purchase during your visit.

See a working farm in motion, at Avila Valley Barn feed the animals, take a tractor ride through the fields, or get some fresh roasted corn! With lots of fruits and veggies for purchase, you won't feel guilty topping your visit off with a fall favorite ~ a large scoop of ice cream or homemade fudge! As Halloween approaches, AVB has a huge selection of pumpkins to take home, from the standard orange ones, to pink, white and green options!

3. Halloween Shenanigans ~

Celebrate Halloween with the locals at Pumpkins in the Park, a free event taking place October 26th at Dinosaur Caves Park in Shell Beach.  With pumpkin carving, costume contests, games and bounce houses, what could be a better way to extend your Halloween celebration!

4. Cambria Scarecrow Festival ~

For the month of October, explore the quaint town of Cambria dressed up with its famous Scarecrows!  Local businesses and artists have spent the year creating a wide variety of unique scarecrows that are lingering around. Such a creative was to showcase their town, no 2 scarecrows are alike ~ this makes a great day trip!

A Halloween classic, The Cliffs Hotel and Spa will have its annual showing of Hocus Pocus, featuring the Sanderson Sisters on October 27. That Friday night November 1st, celebrating family, music and culture, The Cliffs will feature the movie, Coco.  Both movies are free and open to the public, with seasonal treats for purchase.
